LeSean McCoy is nearing his 30th birthday but that doesn’t mean the Buffalo Bills running back is slowing down anytime soon.

It is rare for a running back over the age of 30 to be ranked among the top backs in all of football. Such an honor has only been reserved for some of the greatest to ever line up in an NFL backfield.

Add Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy to that list.

McCoy recently showed up as the No. 4 overall running back in the NFL right now on a list compiled by the great Maurice Jones-Drew, who now writes for NFL.com. Here is what MJD had to say about McCoy:

"With three inexperienced quarterbacks in the building, Shady will once again will be charged with carrying the Bills’ offense. He’s the most elusive back in the league right now and can score from anywhere on the field — something he will have to do for the Bills to succeed. #12kUPnext"

Bills fans are already prepared for a season where McCoy once again carries the load on offense. He will also have Chris Ivory in the backfield to help him out, so hopefully McCoy can stay fresh throughout the season.

This list made by Jones-Drew features so many young running backs, once again reminding NFL fans just how special McCoy is as a player. 2018 will be his 10th year in the league and already his fourth in Buffalo.

It may be wishful thinking to put so much of the offensive responsibility on McCoy at this point in his career, but he is more than capable of shouldering the load. At the same time, he can only do so much. Awful quarterback play will doom the team no matter who is in the backfield.

The Bills have not had many stars on the roster since the Super Bowl days of the 90s, so it is great to see a player like McCoy excel in Buffalo. He received a great deal and has lived up to the expectations.
