53. . Quarterback. Wyoming. Josh Allen. 1. player

The number of teams trying to get a top quarterback will scare the Browns into making this selection. I have been placing Barkley in this spot for some time, but I believe Cleveland won’t want to miss out on their QB.

Darnold used to be the name at the top, it now looks like Allen could be the pick.

Allen has become a hot commodity because of his size, mobility and rifle of an arm. He is being compared to Cam Newton, but I don’t see that. Cam was more accurate and a better runner.

Cleveland will fall in love with his physical traits and pull the ultimate Cleveland Browns move and take the wrong quarterback. (Justin)

31. . Quarterback. USC. Sam Darnold. 2. player

If Sam Darnold is off the board at this point, I think that this pick could be a different player or be moved. However, Sam Darnold seems like an easy transition from Eli Manning in terms of personality and should be able to fit into a team that is ready to win now.

Darnold has things to clean up about his throwing motion and footwork, so him sitting behind Manning for a season could allow them to stay in win-now mode, but also develop Darnold for a season and have him ready in 2019.

The Giants hold the key to the draft at number two and could cause a ripple effect throughout the draft. (Stephen)

Josh Rosen. 3. player. 30. . Quarterback. UCLA

QB-QB-QB. Are they the best three players in the draft? No.

This mock just shows how desperate teams are to find their franchise quarterback.

Rosen may be the most pro-ready quarterback in the class, but he will have to compete with Josh McCown and Teddy Bridgewater in year one. I think he wins the job early and becomes a candidate for rookie of the year. (Justin)
