The first FanSided mock draft of the 2018 offseason sees the Buffalo Bills picking up two top defensive talents in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Buffalo Bills fans are going to see a lot of potential draft scenarios between now and April 26 when the NFL Draft gets underway.

Having two picks in the first round helps the hype train get going as well.

The Bills own the No. 21 and No. 22 overall picks in the draft, and a recent mock draft by Brad Weiss of FanSided sees the team focusing on the defense right away.

Weiss has the Bills selecting Vita Vea, defensive tackle out of Washington, at No. 21 overall. From the mock:

"Many believe that Vea is the best defensive tackle this draft class has to offer, and he would definitely be a big addition their defensive line. The Bills have the talent to be a playoff team for years to come, and they may want to parlay these two draft picks into turning their defense into an elite unit."

It is easy to get distracted by all the offensive talent in the draft, but continuing to build the defense is never a bad option. Vea is listed at 6-foot-4, 344 pounds on his NFL.com draft profile, and with that size his stock will only shoot up with a good showing at the combine.

Continuing on, Weiss has the Bills going after another defender at No. 22 overall. He has the Bills selecting Malik Jefferson, linebacker out of Texas, with the pick.

From the mock:

"During his time at Texas, Malik Jefferson established himself as one of the better linebackers in college football. He has a perfect build to stay on the inside at the next level, and the Bills need all the help they can get in that department."

Flipping the Patrick Mahomes pick into a starting linebacker would be a nice swap, and it is hard to argue with either of these picks. But the thing we have to remember is that having these two picks gives the Bills ammunition to trade up to potentially draft a quarterback earlier in the first round.

Anything can happen and that is what makes mock drafts so fun. Do you like these picks? Or do you want the Bills to focus on the offense early in the draft?
