5) The Missed Field Goal
On a 4th and 1 from the Patriots’ 32-yard line, down a touchdown, in the fourth quarter. Head coach Sean McDermott elected to go for a 50-yard field goal. Bills kicker Stephen Hauschka hooked it.

This gave the Patriots the ball on their 40-yard line, and they ultimately put the game away with another touchdown, just seven plays later.

The call is just questionable. McDermott went for it on fourth down earlier in the game. All the Bills needed to be was one yard. Kicking a 50-yard field goal, in the cold, and at Gillette Stadium is difficult no matter who is kicking the ball. Looking back maybe McDermott should’ve gone for it instead.
