New England Patriots @ Buffalo Bills: 3 Bold Predictions
By Joe Rainford
It’s that time again, where Bills fans are thinking of scenarios in their heads upon which the result is a Bills win over the Patriots. I am one of those people. By no means would I be surprised if the Patriots win comfortably but never know. Anyway, into the predictions for the Patriots…
Brady to throw three interceptions
He’s thrown five picks all season, so this is definitely on the bolder sign of life. If the Bills are to win this game, they have to force turnovers. It’s that simple. Micah Hyde is a key player for Buffalo every week but this Sunday especially, look for him to have a big day.
Tre White will have a big task on his hands, likely following Brandin Cooks around the field. If he’s able to keep him contained and grab a pick himself, that will go a long way.
LeSean McCoy to have a massive game
It’s fair to say Shady hasn’t been quite as good this year as last, largely due to poor 0-Line play. New England’s defense is nothing special and Shady can and should have success against them. If the Bills are able to get the run game going, then the Patriots will be in for a tough game.
I’d expect Shady to get at least two touchdowns on the day, one rushing and one receiving. Mike Tolbert being out is actually a good thing, Rick Dennison won’t be able to use him at the worst times, and we’ll see more of Travaris Cadet, who has looked good so far.
Defensive line to generate pass rush
To most teams, this would be nowhere near a bold prediction. However, for the Bills, it certainly is. For many games this year we’ve seen an invisible performance from the D-Line. Shaq Lawson, in particular, has been poor as a pass rusher, but expect to see a better performance from him tomorrow.
Jerry Hughes has been so close to having a big day on many occasions this year, but tomorrow will be the day it comes, two sacks for him.
