The Buffalo Bills’ Week 9 tilt against the New York Jets kicks off 8:25 p.m. in East Rutherford.

This may or may not be an exaggeration, but Thursday night’s game is the Buffalo Bills’ biggest matchup since the start of the playoff drought.

With a win over the New York Jets Thursday in New Jersey, the Bills will sit at 6-2 and with a .500 record the rest of the way they’d sit at 10 wins. That just might be enough to get into the playoffs.

But before we look ahead, there’s still the Jets on tap on a short week.

This is a classic trap game. If the Bills are really playoff caliber, they should win this game.

You know the drill, each week during the regular season this column will provide the three ways the Bills can secure a victory. So, without further ado, here are the Three Keys to the Game for the matchup against the Jets, which kicks off 8:25 p.m. Thursday at MetLife Stadium on NFL Network.
