Tre’Davious White is a rookie cornerback from Louisiana State University. Have you heard of him?

Tre’Davious White is finally getting recognized by someone other than Buffalo Bills’ fans and Pro Football Focus. I saw an article from an Oakland Raiders’ site last week discussing the threat Tre’Davious White poses to their team. From there on I knew that he was in the minds of opposing offenses.

Tre’Davious White is a serious candidate for Rookie of the Year and has an even better chance at securing the Defensive Rookie of the Year trophy.

Pro Football Focus has White graded as their third best rookie with a season grade of 89.9; just .01 away from being considered, “elite” by PFF’s standards. The impact that he has had on this team is insurmountable.

The easiest and the hardest way to get better in this league is building through the draft. It seems like an easy concept until you draft a Johnny Manziel and he is out of the league in a year. Tre’Davious White is one of those draft picks that can keep someone their job (RIP Doug Whaley).

It is worth noting that Doug Whaley took little interest in the draft, which is absolutely a blessing for this team.

Tre’Davious White locked down the Oakland Raiders’ offense and allowed a passer rating of 61.8. Teams are slowly learning to look elsewhere when deciding between who to target in the Buffalo secondary.

Next: Should Buffalo trade Cordy Glenn?

Try to keep the secret well Buffalo Bills’ fans. Maybe the league will forget about Tre’Davious White; it may be for the best.
