Buffalo Bills: 3 questions for the bye week
By Connor Price
#3 – Is the Buffalo Bills’ defense the real deal?
The Buffalo Bills added a ton of defensive talent in the offseason, and it is paying dividends now. Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde have been massive additions in the secondary, and have been a large part of why the front seven is so effective.
Don’t even get me started on rookie Tre’Davious White. Pro Football Focus currently ranks his second in their Rookie of the Year race; behind only Kareem Hunt.
Tre’Davious White has flashed superstar potential at times. A lockdown cornerback can elevate a defense and a whole team because of how well they can shut down an opposing superstar. If white maintains his current level of play, Buffalo fans are in for something special for years to come.
Jerry Hughes is ranked among the best of them. There were a lot of question marks surrounding his play, and who would be able to rush the passer this year, but Jerry Hughes has answered all of them.
I trust that Sean McDermott will use the bye week to his advantage, and come out hot in the next few games of the season. The Buffalo Bills will host their next two opponents, and play three of their next four games at home.
