Pro Football Focus has released their player grades and game analysis after the Buffalo Bills fell to the Cincinnati Bengals 16-20.

Pro Football Focus does a great job deciphering which Buffalo Bills’ players played well in their game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Pro Football Focus does a good job of figuring that out with their individual player grades for every game.

The top grade Buffalo Bills player? Edge defender, Jerry Hughes. The defensive play-maker received a 90.7 game grade for his play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Here is Pro Football Focus‘ write-up for Jerry Hughes:

"“Hughes was sensational in Week 5, earning high marks as both a pass rusher (84.5 pass rushing grade) and in run defense (95.7 run defense grade). The veteran out of TCU tallied six total pressures on 30 pass rush snaps (four hurries and two hits) and all four of his tackles constituted as stops (a stop is a solo tackle that results in a “loss” to the offense given the situation).”"

The Buffalo Bills were flying high after their week 4 win on the road against the Atlanta Falcons. Week 5 we saw a different football team with that Buffalo on the side of their helmets.

The Cincinnati Bengals were winless just two weeks ago and were fresh off of a win against the Cleveland Browns. The Bengals were favorites since they were home, and the Bills are the Bills, but the game was extremely disappointing for Bills’ fans across the nation.

Here are the top five Buffalo Bills’ game grades:

ED Jerry Hughes, 90.7 overall grade

LB Matt Milano, 86.5 overall grade

S Micah Hyde, 85.9 overall grade

S Jordan Poyer, 82.1 overall grade

ED Lorenzo Alexander, 81.2 overall grade

Matt Milano was a big surprise in his first career start this week. The Buffalo defense came to play; with each of the top five player grades coming from the defensive side of the football.

We saw the secondary of the Buffalo Bills get torched by A.J. Green. This was a foreign concept to the Bills this year because of how strong they have been thus far. If the Bengals are going to beat you, he will be the guy to do it.

Here is Pro Football Focus‘ write-up for A.J. Green:

"“Green hauled in 7 of 13 targets for 189 yards and a touchdown, including three of six targets for 131 yards and a touchdown against rookie Tre’Davious White. His grade took a couple of big hits though with a drop that ended up bouncing right into Jordan Poyer’s arms and a fumble after he made a nice catch over the middle.”"
