Fallers

Marcell Dareus

Once again the talented, yet struggling defensive tackle works his way into the “fallers” portion of this column.

Marcell Dareus played just 22 snaps against the Falcons. It was the lowest on the defense. He registered just one hurry.

Now he’s lost his starting job.

Cedric Thorton has moved ahead of Dareus on the depth chart. However, Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that if Dareus continues to get healthy things could change moving forward.

"“I think we moved in the right direction,” McDermott said, via NYup.com. “He continues to get the treatment he needs to get at this point and take care of the business off the field with respect to the treatment. I think we’re trending in the right direction. “You hope second week back as opposed to the first, you would think logically that would make sense. We’ll just see. I won’t know until we get off the field today.”"

His health did impact the number of snaps he saw against the Falcons.

Dareus will have the chance to bounce back against the Bengals this weekend.
