Buffalo Bills’ star defensive tackle Marcell Dareus will throw the Buffalo Bisons’ first pitch on June 13th, beginning a special night at Coca-Cola Field.

Marcell Dareus has been turning over a new leaf this season, although it really started the second half of last season. His charitable donations will continue on June 13th as he travels to the home of the Buffalo Bisons to throw the first pitch.

It’ll be a special night for Dareus, the Bisons and all of the fans in attendance. After the first pitch is thrown out — hopefully making it to home base, we don’t want to see a re-enactment of 50 Cent — Dareus will lead an autograph signing for fans.

Although no outside memorabilia and/or pictures will be allowed, an official team photo will be provided.

That’s not all Dareus will be doing on June 13th, though. He is also making a donation of $2,500 to the Buffalo Bisons Charitable Foundation. His donation will allow over 100 children from Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo to attend the event with Dareus. The children will also receive a free meal and a meet-and-greet with the Buffalo Bills’ star.

Marcell Dareus is happy to be able to give the kids an experience that they might’ve never experienced before:

"“I’m looking forward to my night at the ballpark and I thank the Buffalo Bisons for having me,” said Dareus. “But the best part is going to be hanging with the kids, some of whom have never seen a baseball game or been to the ballpark, and give them another life experience.”"

The Vice President and General Manager of the Bisons, Mike Buczkowski is also happy to have Dareus in the ballpark:

"“We’re very excited to have Marcell join us at Coca-Cola Field on June 13 to meet with our great fans. It’s a generous and tremendous gesture on Marcell’s part to provide so many worthy kids this opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled night at the ballpark,” said Mike Buczkowski."

It’s great to see that Dareus hasn’t quit on his journey of giving back. After receiving lousy suspensions the past two seasons and losing some of the fans’ trust, Dareus has been a man on a mission. From Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas and everything in-between, Dareus has helped change a lot of children’s lives.

He even took a trip to Haiti earlier this offseason, thanks to the great people at Hope for Haiti. It was a very successful trip that changed Dareus’ view on the world. For more on that trip, click here.

Dareus had more to say about his charity work:

"“My career wouldn’t be the same without all of the support I have received from the Buffalo community and it would be impossible for me to play without paying it forward. I love this community and am happy to help in the communities that need it the most. I love giving back to the kids and this is just another opportunity to do so.”"

Here’s more info on the night at Coca-Cola Field on June 13th, per a press release:
