The game odds have just been released for the upcoming season. Many sportsbooks will follow suit. Check out how the Buffalo Bills fare.

The first Buffalo Bills’ preseason game kicks off in just under 3 months. I’m not sure about you, but I’m not Marty McFly and we can’t take the DeLorean to August 10th when the Bills play the Minnesota Vikings.

One thing we can do, is look ahead.

A couple days ago, Cantor Technology released the NFL betting lines for every game in the upcoming season. Keep in mind, this is quite premature with training camp in the distant future and the inability to predict what teams will rise to the top.

But these are the dog-days of the off-season and this is what we do. You can find the full report from ESPN here.

Week 1

Jets at Bills (-6)

Week 2

Bills at Panthers (-3.5)

Week 3

Broncos at Bills (-1)

Week 4

Bills at Falcons (-7.5)

Week 5

Bills at Bengals (-3.5)

Week 6

BYE

Week 7

Buccaneers at Bills (-1.5)

Week 8

Raiders (-1.5) at Bills

Week 9

Bills (-1.5) at Jets

Week 10

Saints at Bills (-2)

Week 11

Bills at Chargers (-2)

Week 12

Bills at Chiefs (-6)

Week 13

Patriots (-7) at Bills

Week 14

Colts at Bills (-1.5)

Week 15

Dolphins at Bills (-1.5)

Week 16

Bills at Patriots (-11.5)

ESPN notes, “Week 17 is excluded because of high variance caused by potential playoff seeding, QBs sitting out the final week or playing partial games, etc.”

This is because they want to account for the Buffalo Bills resting their players before their first playoff appearance in 17 years!

So what do they think of the Bills?

Cantor Technology predicts the Bills will earn a 7-8 record through the sixteenth week of the season — just about where we were last year.

A few games surprised me. One of those being the Week 3 match-up where the Bills are 1-point favorites over the Broncos. Although the Broncos are scratching their head at quarterback, I thought their defense would have earned them a W there.

Another surprise is that the Bills are 2 point underdogs to the newly coined Los Angeles Chargers.

Many Sportsbooks will have different game lines and they will bounce around right up until the kick-off, but Cantor did it first so here we are.

To be honest, I am shocked that Vegas has the lines the way they are. The Buffalo Bills have Sammy Watkins and other injured players returning, but lost over 30 players this offseason. Not to mention the new General manager and head coach.

I’m not going to be the one to argue over this, but I’ll take it!

Over/Under

The WestGate Las Vegas Super Book has also released over-under’s for the win total of every NFL team.

The Book placed the Bill’s O/U at 6.5.

  • Over -150
  • Under +130

This is one of the lower win totals in the NFL and just looking at the schedule for Buffalo’s upcoming season, I would take the under. I can see the Bills winning anywhere from 4-7 games, so I would try my luck there.

Here are the O/U for our division rivals:

  • New England Patriots – 12.5
  • Miami Dolphins – 7
  • New York Jets – 5

I am not huge into season long or multi-game bets, but at this point in the year I would take the Patriots’ over. Trying to take emotion out of it. At this point of the year it is like throwing a dart at a dart-board blindfolded.

The schedule for the AFC East is quite harder this year than last in my opinion. As I am confident in our division to make a splash, I also like the Dolphins over. The train-wreck that is the New York Jet’s offense has yet to name a starting quarterback. I like the Jets under because of this.

I hope to continue writing about game odds and futures bets for the upcoming season, so I hope I didn’t just ruin that with these 3 predictions!
