Safeties

The Buffalo Bills will be saying goodbye to 8 safeties this season.

SS. Aaron Williams has had quite the unfortunate past two seasons in the NFL. A fan-favorite in Buffalo, Williams spent all six of his years in the NFL with the Bills after being selected in the second round of the 2011 draft. He would only play 3 games in 2015 after suffering a neck injury and would re-injure his neck last season, keeping him out the second half of the season. The Bills released him to save cap space and he remains a free agent on the market. His injury history has his future in the NFL questionable.. #23. Free Agent. AARON WILLIAMS

Free Agent. ROBERT BLANTON. FS. Robert Blanton joined the league as a fourth-round draft pick by the Minnesota Vikings in 2012 and spent the next four years with them before signing a one-year deal with the Bills last offseason. He appeared in 10 games for Buffalo in 2016, totaling 35 tackles. He remains a free agent this offseason, but should likely find a spot somewhere by the time training camps kick up.. #26

SERGIO BROWN. S. Sergio Brown saw his first action in the NFL when signed as an undrafted free agent by the New England Patriots back in 2010. After spending two seasons there, he played three years in Indianapolis and then one year in Jacksonville. He appeared in 8 games for Buffalo last season, totaling just 5 tackles. He remains a free agent this offseason.. #38. Free Agent

Corey Graham will be entering his 11th season in the NFL after spending the last three with Buffalo. He appeared in every single game since joining the Bills, totaling 48 over the three years. He had a huge 2015 season with 127 tackles and totaled 5 interceptions throughout his stint in Buffalo. He was released for cap space and has spent time with the Ravens and Bears, as well.. #30. Free Agent. COREY GRAHAM. FS

S. James Ihedigbo entered the league as an undrafted free agent when the New York Jets signed him in 2007. After spending 4 years with them, he spent one season with the Patriots and then two with the Ravens. He signed a contract with the Lions in 2014 before signing with the Bills last season. He played in four games and had 16 tackles, one pass defensed and one stuff last year.. #27. Free Agent. JAMES IHEDIGBO

#36. Free Agent. JONATHAN MEEKS. S. Jonathan Meeks was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the fourth round of the 2013 draft. Expected to back Aaron Williams up, Meeks has flip-flopped between the active roster and practice squad since joining the NFL. He appeared in 16 games last season and finished with 12 tackles and one pass defensed. He remains a free agent.

S. Spending the past four seasons in Buffalo, Duke Williams was drafted by the team in 2013 in the fourth round. He appeared in 14 games in 2015, recording 26 tackles, one sack, one fumble recovery and one pass defensed. He did not appear in any games last season due to injury and was released in mid-November last year. He signed with the Colts shortly after, but is a free agent to this day.. #27. Free Agent. DUKE WILLIAMS

Free Agent. PHILLIP THOMAS. S. Phillip Thomas first joined the NFL in 2013 when he was selected by the Washington Redskins in the fourth round. He signed with the Dolphins in 2015 before joining the Bills’ practice squad late 2015. He signed a future contract with Buffalo in 2016 and was officially released from the team on March 6, 2017. He didn’t appear in any games for Buffalo and remains a free agent.. #41
