The Buffalo Bills have a good chance of adding a quarterback in the NFL draft, which is a littler over two weeks away.
This past weekend, it was reported that the Buffalo Bills held a private workout with former North Carolina quarterback, Mitchell Trubisky. Most expert analysts view Trubisky as the top quarterback prospect in this year’s NFL Draft.
With two weeks before the draft begins, taking a quarterback early seems to be on the table for the Bills.
The Buffalo Bills have also been linked recently to former Notre Dame quarterback Deshone Kizer. They also had a workout with Texas Tech’s Patrick Mahomes on Monday — according to multiple reports.
One thing stood out over the course of these meetings and workouts, Bills’ owner Terry Pegula was present. Head coaches, some assistant coaches and the GM are usually the ones in attendance. When an owner is at these private workouts that usually means that they are almost for sure drafting one of those prospects.
Jeffery Lurie who owns the Philadelphia Eagles, was at the workout the Eagles held last year for Carson Wentz. The Eagles then traded up in the draft for the face of their franchise. The Bills might need to trade up in the draft if they are serious about drafting Trubisky.

Buffalo isn’t being too secretive about who they are holding private workouts with. Could the Bills be putting up the smokescreen to play with teams like Cleveland who need a signal caller more than anyone? Well, sure they could.
The Buffalo Bills are in a good spot with the 10th pick, where a team could jump ahead of teams like Cleveland and Arizona to snag a QB. Buffalo could just be doing their due diligence with these guys, even while bringing the owner along.
Buffalo still doesn’t seem too sure that they have their franchise guy. Until a team has that guy, the team should always be on the lookout. Some NFL scouts and GMs believe that no QB in this class is first-round worthy. However, passing on a QB that you love because of where you draft him is outrageous.
The bottom line is, if you love a quarterback, take him.
As the swirling talks about the quarterback position continue, there are still other needs. The Buffalo Bills aren’t a lock to use the number 10 pick on a QB. Wide receiver, defensive back and linebacker still look like strong potential selections for the Bills on April 27th.
Inching closer and closer to the draft, rumors and discussions will only heat up from here.
