Two more pre-draft visits to Buffalo are scheduled with Vernon Butler and Su’a Cravens.
Let’s take a closer look at both of these players that are making pre-draft visits to Buffalo.
Su’a Cravens
Su’a Cravens visit to the Bills was reported by Aaron Wilson who covers the NFL for National Football Post. Cravens is listed as a linebacker by CBSSports.com and the 57th best prospect in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Cravens has been during down private workouts from several teams according to Chase Goodbread from NFL.com so the Bills should be happy that they were able to get one of them.
Cravens attended the University of Southern California and is 6’1″, 226 pounds. He projects as a hybrid linebacker/safety in the NFL. He lacks the ideal size for an NFL linebacker which is why it’s hard to predict what role he will play in the pros. CBSSports.com believes that he will be selected in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
He has long limbs and good football smarts. He runs around the field with reckless abandon and it works well for him for the most part but occasionally he can be too aggressive.

Su’a Cravens could be a decent value pick for the Bills in the second round but it’s not likely that they would use their first-round pick on him. The Bills could use depth at safety and linebacker so drafting Cravens could make a lot of sense for the team if he’s available in the second round or after.
Vernon Butler
According to Matthew Fairburn of Syracuse.com, defensive tackle Vernon Butler from Louisiana Tech is scheduled to meet with the Bills. Butler is a big boy at 6’4″ and 323 pounds. He is ranked by CBSSports.com as the 35th best prospect in the draft and they expect him to be selected in the 1st or 2nd round.
Most draft experts don’t have Butler being picked until after the Bills select at number 19 but it’s possible if they like him more than other teams that they could select him with that pick. If Butler slips to the Bills in the second round I would have to imagine the value would be too good to ignore him there but that depends on who else is available.
