1994: Bills lose FG contest to Colts

In a game in which there were four field goals made, the Bills would have the advantage in that department. Steve Christie nailed kicks from 20, 21 and 24 yards out. He would miss two, however. Missing his first kick from 49 yards out and his last attempt of the night, a 46-yarder as time expired that would have given the Bills a win.

After a masterful two-minute drill led by Frank Reich in which Don Beebe had two catches for 24 yards, the latter of which got the Bills into FG range, and Bill Brooks added a 24-yard reception on the drive. Alas, it was for naught, as Christie missed the game-winning attempt.

The difference in the matchup? The lone touchdown scored by the Colts in the third quarter. Chris Mohr shanked a punt only 23 yards, setting up the Colts at midfield. Five plays later, Jim Harbaugh found Floyd Turner for a 13-yard touchdown pass, giving Indy a 7-6 lead they would not relinquish.
