Marcus Easley

Although technically Marcus Easley is a wide receiver, he’s not really on the team for his receiving skills (he has two career receptions for 13 yards). The 27-year old’s talents lies in his exceptional play on special teams – last season he had 11 tackles on kickoff coverage.

The Bills showed how much they value Easley, by signing him to a four-year, $7 million contract back in March. Of course, NFL contracts aren’t guaranteed, but this is a pretty good indicator that he’s going to be on the final 53-man roster.

Interestingly, the 2010 fourth round draft pick left the action early against the Panthers, with a knee injury. Ryan confirmed Easley had suffered a grade 1 injury to his medial collateral ligament, and stated that it is nothing serious.

2014 receiving statistics: No catches

Statistics versus Panthers: Played, but left early with a MCL injury

Will he make the cut? All but guaranteed as a special teamer
