Buffalo Bills Circling the Wagons: Ronald Darby

Buffalo Bills Circling the Wagons: Ronald Darby

Today we start the preseason off with the Buffalo Bills facing off against the Carolina Panthers.  The biggest position that will be under criticism is going to be the play of the quarterbacks.  Matt Cassel is set to get the start for the Buffalo Bills.

Here are your daily links for the Buffalo Bills from around the web.

IK Enemkpali grateful for Buffalo Bills opportunity

"Embattled linebacker IK Enemkpali is desperate to repay the faith shown in him by the Buffalo Bills after punching former team-mate Geno Smith. The Jets released Enemkpali on Tuesday for breaking Smith’s jaw but the Bills claimed the 24-year-old off waivers just a day later. There were doubts as to whether Enemkpali would be able to find another home in the NFL."

Buffalo Bills intern makes fun of Peter King‘s dorky shoes

"The young people of America are still asking “WHAT ARE THOOOOSE” to the old folks who have no clue what they’re talking about. Some kid tried to pull a fast one on Michael Jordan and it backfired.A Buffalo Bills PR intern tried to do the same thing to Sports Illustrated’s Peter King, while King was filming a remote segment for MMQB:"

Bills Players Tape Rookie Ronald Darby to Goal Post, Soak Him with Water

"Buffalo Bills cornerback Ronald Darby just got a taste of what it’s like to be a rookie in the NFL.Rookies have to do things for veteran players from time to time, whether it’s carrying pads at practice or picking up the tab at dinner. Darby probably wishes that he had received one of those “hazing” rituals instead of what he had to go through.During a recent practice, Darby got taped to a goal post. Because he’s a rookie."

Taylor making strides; Tight ends battling

"Matt Cassel got the majority of the first team reps again Wednesday night, but didn’t make the most of them, looking average most of the evening throwing the football.  Some of Cassel’s issues, however, were due to poor pass protection while he was in there.  He took a couple sacks, including one that would have been a strip and recovery by the defense.Tyrod Taylor, on the other hand, had a fairly solid evening.  It’s been enough practices now where I can say he’s getting better on an almost daily basis.  He’s mixing in making plays with both his arm and his legs, showing his athleticism and ability to make something out of nothing.  He was a factor for the offense in the two-minute drill, making positive plays and moving the team into field goal position.EJ Manuel just can’t get off the mat right now.  He’s appearing to fall further and further behind in this competition, mostly because of (again) his inaccuracies.  Manuel threw one pass down the sideline that sailed far out of bounds before it landed, not giving his receiver a chance to make a play in the field of play.  EJ has a preseason game and then two days of practicing against the Cleveland Browns before another game to try and gain ground.  But it looks like he’ll really have to do something special in those settings to have a legitimate shot to stay in it."

7 Bills training camp observations: Day 11

"The Buffalo Bills had one final day of practice before they all hit the road back to Orchard Park for the team’s first preseason game of 2015. Head coach Rex Ryan elected to give his team the day off from full pads, but it was still a full-speed practice. Some observations from the day of work:"
