Buffalo Bills Circling The Wagons: EJ Manuel, Richie Incognito

The quarterback situation for the Buffalo Bills is still up for grabs.  Matt Cassel has gotten the most time with the first team so far and seems to be the favorite right now.  EJ Manuel is starting to come on strong having strung together a couple of god days together.  We might actually start to have a true quarterback competition now.

Here are your daily links for the Buffalo Bills from around the web.

Reed gives young Bills lessons in greatness

"Andre Reed has a few strands of gray hair sprinkled atop his head, but otherwise he has shown very few signs of age. He remains in terrific physical condition and, at age 51, still looks like he could beat anybody on a crossing route. It would be nice if the Bills had a quarterback who could hit him.Reed hasn’t played since 2000, a forgettable season with the Washington Redskins. It’s hard to fathom, but his last year with the Bills also marked the last time they reached the playoffs. Thirty years ago, he was a rookie from Kutztown State. Twenty-five years ago, the Bills made their first trip to the Super Bowl. It’s been a quarter century."

Bills‘ Richie Incognito hasn’t talked to Jonathan Martin since Dolphins bullying incident

"Ever since he arrived in Buffalo, Bills guard Richie Incognito has been doing his best to put the Miami Dolphins’ bullying scandal that left him out of football for over a year behind him.It looked like he was doing that, too, after drawing praise from Rex Ryan and earning a starting job. But on Thursday, during an interview with Dan Patrick, Incognito was asked quite a few questions about his involvement in the incident which resulted in Jonathan Martin leaving the team after being harassed by Incognito."

EJ Manuel takes step forward (5 observations from day 6 of Buffalo Bills training camp)

"The story of EJ Manuel’s career with the Buffalo Bills has often been about the quarterback taking one step forward and two steps back. Thursday was certainly one of those steps forward, but it didn’t come without hiccups. After Manuel delivered a perfectly-thrown deep ball down the sideline to wide receiver Andre Davis for a 41-yard touchdown, he came back and threw an ugly interception to Kenny Ladler that was thrown into double coverage."

Rex Ryan: Bills‘ playbook will have most running plays in ‘history of man’

"Here’s the Buffalo Bills‘ offensive game plan for 2015: Give the ball to LeSean McCoy. Then, hand the ball to McCoy again. After that, let McCoy run, again.Given the Bills’ dire quarterback situation and given McCoy’s unique talents, it makes sense. Throw in the fact that the king of ground and pound, Rex Ryan, is the head coach in Buffalo, and it’s a no brainer. And, now, we have official confirmation of the Bills’ offensive plans from Ryan himself."

Buffalo Bills sign undrafted rookie RB Bronson Hill

"The Bills traded out a defensive lineman for a running back on Thursday.Buffalo signed running back Bronson Hill, an undrafted rookie out of Eastern Michigan, the team announced. They cut defensive end Erik Williams to open up a spot for Hill on the 90-man roster.Presumably, the Bills brought in Hill to take snaps in place of Boobie Dixon, who is out for at least a few weeks with a calf injury. Hill ran for only 351 yards on 85 carries in 2014. But in 2012 and 2013 he ran for a combined 2,006 yards and 11 touchdowns. He caught 37 passes for another 526 yards and four TDs from 2012-14."
