Aaron Kromer is placed on administrative leave

Two days ago, early morning on Sunday, Buffalo Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer was arrested for a misdemeanor battery charge against a minor.  He was charged later that day, as well as having a threat of harming the minors family if they told anyone about the incident involving a fishing pole thrown into the water and some beach chairs.

Well two days later, Aaron Kromer has been placed on indefinite administrative leave by the Buffalo Bills.  The Buffalo Bills acting in an expected manner, not waiting for the decision from the league to place him on paid leave/unpaid leave/or just plan let go.

"The team announced they had placed Kromer on indefinite paid leave, which is the same thing that would have happened if a player had been arrested for a violent crime under the NFL’s personal conduct policy.Team president Russ Brandon issued a brief statement, saying they placed him on leave “while we continue to work our way through the investigative process with the league.”PFT.com"

At this point, the Buffalo Bills are without a coach at one of their most weakest positions.  Yes they did bring in free agents and draft picks over the past two years to begin to strengthen and add depth but it is still one of the weakest position on the team.  The Buffalo Bills will need to find a coach in the meantime and at least in the beginning of training camp to get the offensive line training started.

With the incident coming with the new personal conduct policy in place, Aaron Kromer and the Buffalo Bills could expect to see a strong decision against him as he doesn’t have the loopholes of previous policies to provide a lesser decision on the outcome.

With the Buffalo Bills placing him on administrative leave, which is paid, it does provide a better standing to possibly bring him back if the league looks to only place a suspension on him as a minimal decision of discipline.  Although, with everything that has occurred as of late in the NFL and the changes in the personal conduct policy, I expect nothing less than Aaron Kromer coming out of this without a job in the near future.
