The Buffalo Bills D-Line has made history once again.

When it comes to the NFL Network’s Top 100, no single team  has ever had four defensive linemen on the list in the same year, until now. With Kyle Williams, Jerry Hughes, Marcell Dareus, and Mario Williams all apart of the NFL Network’s Top 100, the Bills have set a new standard for having “beef up front.”

Williams, the defensive end from North Carolina State University, came in on the list at #42. He is the highest ranked Bills player on the  list so far, despite having dropped 13 spots from his ranking last year (#29). This red contact wearing, four time pro-bowler weighs in at 292 pounds but “can run like a receiver” according to former Bills tight end, Lee Smith.

Williams is entering his tenth season in the NFL and fourth season with the Buffalo Bills. He had 14.5 sacks (his career best) in the 2014-2015 season and has the most sacks in the AFC since 2006.

William’s opponents in the AFC hate playing against him, including Miami Dolphins Defensive End Oliver Vernon.

"“Mario Williams, man. That should be cheating having him out there on the field like that. He’s a beast.”"

Being 6’6″ and having a huge wingspan is advantageous to Williams. Tackle, Tyson Clabo commented on how William’s body type allows him to take on virtually anybody.

"“He’s just a specimen really. The length of his arms just makes him a matchup challenge for just about anyone that he’s going against.”"

Over his nine seasons in the NFL, Williams has had 293 solo tackles and 91 sacks along with 16 forced fumbles and 20 passes deflected. He’s become a staple to the Bill’s fourth-ranked defensive line and has broke a couple franchise records along the way.

In the Bill’s game against the Carolina Panthers on September 15, 2013, Williams broke a Buffalo record for most sacks in a single game with 4.5. Not only did he do that, but he also won the AFC Defensive player of the month in November 2014 and was elected to the 2014 All-Pro First-Team.

Here’s a fun fact about Williams: In 2012, he debuted his own cereal entitled “MariO’s”, his version of Honey Nut Cheerios. Proceeds from William’s cereal benefited a Buffalo-based charity helping children with cancer.
