Dareus, also known as Mr. Big Stuff, was drafted by the Bills in 2011 and has played with them for four seasons. He was drafted as the 3rd overall pick following his successful college career at the University of Alabama and signed a four-year deal with Buffalo worth $20.4 million.

Over his four seasons with the Bills, Dareus has had 139 solo tackles (201 total) along with 28.5 total sacks. He started his rookie season off with a bang when he made 5.5 quarterback sacks, the most for a rookie in Bill’s history since Aaron Schobel retired. Aside from being a tackling and sacking machine, Dareus can also get to the ball in high-pressure situations; he’s forced two fumbles and defended 12 passes in his professional career so far.

Players around the league certainly respect Mr. Big Stuff, including Saints running back Mark Ingram.

"I’ve seen highlights of him getting double-teamed and him strong arming one guy, back, off balance, and then clubbing and swimming the other guy that’s supposed to be double-teaming him. And going back and just tearing up the quarterback."

Ingram went on to say how hard it is to block Dareus, who ranked #62 on last year’s top 100.

"The guy’s dominant and he can’t be blocked by one person. He had like 10 sacks in nine games from D-tackle, you know. You have some ends that didn’t make it to 10 sacks and he’s a D-tackle taking on double teams and he had 10 sacks."

Perhaps the best part of watching Dareus apart of the Top 100 list was hearing him explain the origin of his nickname, Mr. Big Stuff. Dareus said when he grew up his mom would always play a lot of old school music around the house and he just really liked that song. One thing’s for sure, the nickname Mr. Big Stuff certainly fits Dareus as he’s not only big but he also makes big plays.
