It didn’t take long for OTA’s (organized team activities) to roll around. It’s hard to think that the NFL draft was almost a month ago.
The rookies had their own separate mini camp, and now they’ll be thrown into the mix with the veterans so they can showcase what they can do at the professional level for the first time.
What’ll they be doing you ask? Unfortunately there will be no live contact. You won’t see any of that until training camp. Instead for the next three weeks you’ll see a lot of work of offense vs. defense in drills such as 7-on-7 and 11-on-11. This’ll give coaches a great chance to see what they’ve got in certain players and where exactly they can fit on defense which’ll give them a great head start when they roll into training camp in mid-to-late July.
