Some interesting news coming from around the web regarding the Buffalo Bills, or former Buffalo Bills.  Without keeping it from you any longer, here are the daily links from around the web regarding your Buffalo Bills.

NFL Rumors – Buffalo Bills Close to Getting Rid of EJ Manuel

"A first round pick only two years ago, EJ Manuel hasn’t done much for the Buffalo Bills, and won’t be getting too much opportunities to prove he deserves a place on an NFL team as a starting quarterback or even as a backup. In two season with the team, Manuel has played in just 15 games (starting 14), completing 58.6% of his passes, throwing 16 touchdowns and 12 interceptions while posting a passer rating of 78.5. There have been injuries, but there have also been some awful games. His numbers aren’t awful, but not exactly promising or suggesting he’s advancing."

Who Will Win Buffalo Bills‘ Backup Running Back Battle

"The Buffalo Bills gained an elite running back earlier this offseason when the team traded to acquire LeSean McCoy from thePhiladelphia Eagles.  McCoy, who rushed for 1,319 yards last season, should be the unquestioned starter in Buffalo from this point forward. However, that doesn’t mean there will not be significant opportunities for the No. 2 back on the Bills’ depth chart."

Buffalo Bills Sign Sixth-Round Pick Tony Steward

"Steward played college football at Clemson where he was a complimentary player to star linebackers Vic Beasley and Stephone Anthony. He did stand out on special teams though, where he was a constant leader and playmaker for head coach Dabo Swinney. Once one of the top recruits in the country, Steward has the ability to make plays in the open field and if not for a pair of ACL injuries, he probably would have went much higher in the draft."

Bills won’t overlook their passing game

"For a team that intends to employ a power-oriented, run-first offense, the Buffalo Bills sure do have a whole lot of wide receivers. Thirteen are on their 90-man roster, giving the impression that they might actually have something different in mind than the “Ground and Pound” concept Rex Ryan has been selling since being introduced as the Bills’ coach last January."

Spikes returns to Patriots

"After one season with the Bills, LB Brandon Spikes is returning to the New England Patriots, signing as a free agent on Monday. The Bills allowed Spikes to test free agency after the run-stopper finished last season with a career-low 54 tackles. With a new scheme in place under Rex Ryan and two young emerging linebackers in Preston Brown and Nigel Bradham, Bills GM Doug Whaley said they could not offer the kind of role Spikes envisioned for himself."
