Even though the Bills signed former Miami Dolphins tight end Charles Clay to a massive contract during free agency, there is still a need at the tight end position.

With a run blocking tight end on the board like Clive Walford, this selection would be a no-brainer. Not to mention the Miami prospect has a good set of hands and ball skills, too.

But while Walford impressed on the field at the combine, as the top performer in the 40-yard dash, vertical jump and broad jump, there’s a rumor that he was a disappointment in the meeting room.  Lance Zierlein of NFL.com reported that Walford was a disappointment in meetings during the combine and his pre-draft visits.

“He acted like he was doing us a favor by even talking to us,” a NFL tight end coach told the NFL draft analyst. “We asked about an issue he had and he got pissy.”

However, Bills fans shouldn’t worry too much about these comments because if there’s any coach in the NFL that can contain players, it’s Rex Ryan.

At the end of the day, pairing Clive Walford with Charles Clay would be a match-up nightmare for teams around the league.
