Carl Davis went to the senior bowl and put a whooping on offensive lineman, that is what elevated his stock up into the second round. Davis is a strong 5 technique who will be playing the outside tackle in Rex Ryan’s defensive scheme. Davis is a strong pass rusher that at times in collegiate play got lazy because he was the only defensive play-maker on a Hawkeyes team that was not exceptionally good. Davis fits the mold of a Rex Ryan player and would fit exceptionally well on the Buffalo Bills stacked front seven. Davis shows good mobility along the line to get to the point of attack and his aggressive attitude is something that can not be taught. Davis will thrive under the current Bills defensive scheme and current players. The Iowa product just needs to be a step quicker and he will hear his name called a lot over public announcements on sundays.
