As it was for most of the season last year, the Buffalo Bills were underdogs going into most of their games, which at times seemed to help fuel their fire and desire to prove everyone else wrong. They came away with 9 wins last year and in a way did prove a lot of people wrong. It looks as though this season is already starting off the same way.

As a collective group, ESPN writers had pooled their resources together and came away with a stand along record for the Buffalo Bills at 5-11 for this season, directly after the schedule came out. How they lose 4 more games than they did last year with what seems to be a better team is beyond my comprehension.
One thing we know for sure that, at this point, is that the Buffalo Bills are starting the season off at home against the Indianapolis Colts, Andrew Luck, Andre Johnson, and Frank Gore as underdogs. At this point, they are only 3 point underdogs but they are still underdogs for that matter and projected to lose.
With a lot of questions still in the air for the Buffalo Bills, and training camp still ahead for everyone. A lot can happen in that time frame to change the perception of the games in week 1.
It is no easy task to come out and face one of the best quarterbacks in the AFC in Andrew Luck, but the Bills have to also come out the next week, at home, and face one of the top quarterbacks in the league, in Tom Brady, and then again face him later on in the year. We can pretty much assume that if things stay they way they are, the Buffalo Bills will be underdogs in their first two home games of the year.
With a new attitude and swagger from a new coach, will that be enough for the Buffalo Bills to overcome the underdog projection that they faced last year for most of the year, they did it with less last year. It is quite possible that they prove a lot of people outside of the Buffalo area wrong, and could also break that playoff drought that is hanging over their heads as well.
It’s time to circle the wagons, like no one else does!
