Terrell Owens was in Buffalo, Marshawn Lynch was gone to Seattle, and it was a new year for the Bills. But it was those same old Patriots with Belichick and Brady paired together. Aaron Schobel stole the show in the first half, tipping a Brady screen pass to himself and returning it 26 yards for a touchdown. This gave the Bills a 14-7 lead. A Gostkowski field goal cut the lead to 14-10 at the half. Fred Jackson put the Bills up 24-13 with 5:32 to go on a ten-yard screen pass from Trent Edwards. Cue Ben Watson. He caught two touchdowns in a matter of 76 seconds from Brady, one from 18 yards out and another 16 yards out to give the Patriots the crushing 25-24 victory. The most memorable moment of the game was Leodis McKelvin fumbling the kickoff after the first touchdown around the 30-yard line, giving the Pats the ball back and the chance at a win. Brady, nor Belichick, were about to waste that.
