Ali Marpet may be the biggest sleeper of this entire draft and may be regarded as one of the biggest Division III prospects to ever come into the NFL ranks. Marpet joins fellow DIII stand out Fred Jackson on this Buffalo Bills roster that is severally lacking in his position coming into the 2015 season. The Bills addressed the position opposite of him with the signing of Richie Incognito to play Right Guard but the current Hobart player will be directly competing with NFL talent but if his performances at the Combine or the Senior Bowl are any indication of how he’ll play on the NFL level then Marpet will be a great addition to a team lacking in talent at the position. The Buffalo Bills had options at guard coming into their pick in the third round. Laken Tomlinson, Josue Matias, and Tre Jackson were still left on board when the 17th pick in the third round came rolling around. However, picking a local talent and having him excel (hopefully) will be great story line for the PR and Media departments for the Bills or any team for that matter would give their little toes for. Marpet will be a great prospect for the Bills to pick up in the third round and will be one that will strengthen their interior line and further help who ever will be starting at Quarterback for the Buffalo Bills in the rapidly approaching season. The Buffalo Bills next selection won’t be until late in day 3 of the draft and although that normally doesn’t fair well for most teams, most teams however have not picked up the type of talent that the Buffalo Bills picked up via Mad Dog Doug as he is now known amongst NFL circles.
