The Buffalo Bills have had a busy off season so far this year. They have seen their 2 year head coach decide to just get up and leave, providing a massive void in the coaching staff. With that came the offensive coordinator to be jobless. The defensive coordinator, Jim Schwartz, had the option to stay but decided to move on as defensive philosophies would be quite different between himself and the head coach.

With a new head coach comes a new coaching staff and new philosophies for the players and team. Some players may be willing to stay that are unrestricted free agents, and others will decide to leave based on the new or old coaches decisions.
The Buffalo Bills have brought in Rex Ryan and for the most part, Rex Ryan has brought in most of his defensive staff from the New York Jets. The Jets did have a top 10 defense in all but 1 year that Ryan was head coach with them. Dennis Thurman was his defensive coordinator for most of the time that Ryan was in NY.
Rex Ryan has absorbed an offensive that has disappointed for numerous years. He knows this and went out and brought in a guy that he worked with when in Baltimore, Greg Roman. Roman has spearheaded the 49ers offense for the past 3 years.
With Roman in place and set to work on this offensive nightmare, Rex Ryan looked to bring in a quarterbacks coach that is familiar with the team, him, and working with younger developing quarterbacks; David Lee.
David Lee has been with Ryan for the past 2 years in NY and worked with Geno Smith, the first rookie quarterback in Jets history to start all 16 games. He also was the first rookie quarterback to have 4 game winning drives in a season. David Lee is familiar with the Bills as well, being their quarterback coach back in 2012 when he helped Ryan Fitzpatrick put up 24 touchdown passes, which was a single season career best for Fitz and was the 5th most by a Bills quarterback.
Lee started in the NFL in 2003 with the Dallas Cowboys as a offensive quality control coach. He added quarterback responsibilities in 2005 and during his time in Dallas, 2003-06, 3 of those years saw 3 different quarterbacks with over 3,000 yards passing.
Can David Lee and Greg Roman bring the 18th quarterback to hit 3,000 yards for the Buffalo Bills?
