Contract year. Enough said.

Competing for top dog money, CJ Spiller is primed to make a comeback similar to his 2012 campaign. He has an upgrade in the offensive line along with the addition of his fellow Clemson alumni Sammy Watkins. The speed and tempo of this Buffalo Bills offense already heads turning left and right trying to follow the speed of Spiller and Marquise Goodwin. Now its up to the fifth year veteran to pave his way to the top of the rushing charts; the question is will Spiller finally show Buffalo he is truly worth the money he thinks he deserves? (Following quote was previously used in an article by Fansided writer David Miniel.)

"“I have not hired anyone yet. Hopefully I’ll get one pretty soon – I’m going to need one pretty soon. I’ve got some guys in mind that I’m looking at. I just haven’t really had enough time to sit down and see who the best agent would be for me…My previous guy, I had a unique bond with him, so that’s kind of what I’m looking for. It takes awhile to try to get a feel for guys.”- Spiller on looking for a new agent via Buffalo News."

While the pressure is on CJ Spiller, Nathaniel Hackett is also responsible for drawing up plays to utilize Spiller’s talents. Sammy Watkins and healthy receiving group will make the job a lot easier but the team will have to execute and get the first down. There’s no question; CJ Spiller will play a huge role in the Buffalo Bills offense this season if Hackett sticks to his game plan. Hackett was quoted last year saying, “Switching to this system and the tempo we’ve created, it’s a completely different way that we call the game. It’s more of an attacking thing, and you get to put pressure on the defensive coordinator.”
