Buffalo Bills: Free Agency Outlook

So we have looked at the QBs and the one TE that might be worth Buffalo’s while, Jimmy Graham if he is still available come free agency on March 11th.

The Bills are in need of an offensive lineman mainly interior but if a tackle is available, Glenn could easily move into the interior to beef up the offensive line.  Buffalo also could be in the market for a big WR to stretch the field as well as a middle LB, if they decide to move Kiko to the outside.

Any of these positions that the Bills can fill through free agency will allow them to make different moves in the draft and secure other positions as well.

As for the WRs on the free agency list at this point, there is really not a guy that stands out or fits in with what the Bills should be looking to do.

At the offensive guard position a guy like Rodger Saffold out of St. Louis my fit the bill.  He has been in the league for 4 years and has started 44 of 47 games played with 16 for 16 in 2010 and 9 of 12 last year.  He is 6-5 weighing 332#.  Good size for a tackle.  He is also young enough to make a move with.  This would fill the guard spot vacated by Levitre last year and allow Glenn to stay at LT and Pears to stay at RT.  Even if you get this guy or someone similar, if Matthews is still there at the 9th pick you jump and put him where Pears is and make Pears your first tackle in for a substitution.

As for the MLB position, there is one guy that stands out on the list for a true middle linebacker; Perry Riley out of Washington.  He has racked up 129 and 115 tackles last season and this season respectively while nabbing 3.5 and 3.0 sacks for the respective years as well.  He has 4 years experience and is 25.  At 6-0 238#, he is a good size in the middle.  If available, Buffalo grabs him and moves Kiko to the OLB where Bradham is and have Bradham in as your first person off the bench for either Kiko or Manny.

Adding players during free agency to come in and make an initial impact will only allow the Bills more options in the draft and pick guys that will benefit the organization.
