Polian calls Hall ‘incredible honor’

"When Bill Polian took over the Buffalo Bills in 1986, interest in the franchise was at a historic low. The team was fresh off back-to-back 2-14 seasons. Jim Kelly was in the United States Football League. The roster was short on talent. Then, everything changed. The Bills went on to reach an unprecedented four straight Super Bowls. On Aug. 8, the general manager behind it all will finally get his due in Canton, Ohio."

Polian: \”Hull and Tasker deserving of the Hall\”

"After Bill Polian took over as Buffalo Bills General Manager in 1986, one of the very first moves he made was to bring center Kent Hull to Buffalo from the New Jersey Generals of the folding USFL.Another move he made was claiming special teamer and wide receiver Steve Tasker off waivers from the Houston Oilers.29 years, five AFC championships, and one Super Bowl ring (Colts) later, Polian is being enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.  And he believes both Hull and Tasker deserve their own spots amongst pro football’s greatest."

Buffalo Bills Should Name Tyrod Taylor Starting Quarterback For 2015 NFL

"When Rex Ryan took the head coaching job with the Buffalo Bills, it left a number of people around the NFL scratching their heads. Ryan’s biggest downfall with the New York Jets was his inability to find a consistent quarterback, and he chose to go to the Bills. They had now-retired Kyle Orton starting at the end of last season, and a first-round bust inE.J. Manuel on the roster. Ryan still had a second interview set up with theAtlanta Falcons, who have Matt Ryan, when he chose to take the Bills job."

NY’s NFL Bills suite saw attendance spike in 2014

"A Buffalo Bills luxury box controlled by Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s administration saw a spike in attendance last year, with a variety of mostly-local business officials and a pair of charities taking in a game.Empire State Development, the state’s economic-development arm, is provided with 16 tickets in a suite and four parking passes for each game at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, Erie County, where the Bills played seven home games last year."

Did Doug Marrone stunt E.J. Manuel’s development? – BN Blitz – The BuffaloNews

"In case you missed it, be sure to check out Warren Sharp’s fascinating statistical breakdown of how former Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone possibly derailed the development of quarterback E.J. Manuel in FoxSports.com.In sum, Marrone became painfully predictable on first down with the 2013 first-round pick.Manuel posted the fourth-best passer rating ever for a rookie in Weeks 1-3, particularly excelling on first down, and then Marrone decided to run… and run… and run some more on first down. As Sharp breaks down, Marrone called pass plays 45% of the time on first down in Manuel’s first three starts in 2013, and then 20% his next two starts (nine passes and 36 runs)."
