Offensive Line Changes Might Displace Some Bills

The above title may seem like a bad thing, but in reality it is a positive for the Buffalo Bills and one that has not been available to them for quite some time.

The Buffalo Bills have made some additions to the offensive line over the past couple of years and with that comes added depth as well as an increase in talent as well.

The Bills offensive line has not been solid for the past couple of years and now there is a set of players that are available that are versatile as well as solid players that will increase the productivity of the ground and pound offense.

With the versatility that many of the offensive linemen bring, there are options for Rex Ryan and the Buffalo Bills.  Cordy Glenn and Seantrel Henderson had been sharing time at both left and right tackle throughout most of the offseason workouts.  Seantrel Henderson did miss the first day of the mandatory minicamp and seemed to be demoted to the 3rd string tackle with Cordy Glenn taking all the snaps as the starting left tackle.

"“You’re a player, you just need to go out there and play,” Glenn said. “It’s like, ‘OK, this is where I’m at today.’ ”“The way I look at it, when you’re here, you’re trying to help out your team,” Glenn said. “That’s the bottom line, really, trying to win. Anything you’ve got to do to win, you’ve got to do it.”– BN Blitz.com"

With the addition of John Miller, who from reports, has been nothing but a solid guard for the Bills and Richie Incognito, who also has been performing very well, the Bills have a tough starting line to crack, unless someone really screws up, the 2nd and 3rd stringers will have to put their nose to the grindstone and push to displace someone ahead of them.

It was reported the Cyrus Kouandjio was moving towards playing a guard position, but he may be on the outside looking in for that starting job with the two above-mentioned guards playing well at this point.  Kouandjio could move back to tackle, but would be in the mix with Glenn and Henderson, who still has very good raw talent that should pan out.

Either way, the offensive line situation for the Bills at this point is a good one and there may be one or two players that are good, solid players that are just not good enough, which is a good thing to have as depth, when and if injuries occur.

The running game should and will benefit from a strong offensive line this year.
