The Buffalo Bills have come to the end of their second full week of OTAs and leave only 1 more to go until they start up training camp in mid-July. We missed yesterday’s daily links, so my apologies to you.

Roman: Kouandjio’s arrow keeps pointing up

"One of the more interesting battles developing through Buffalo Bills offseason workouts and OTAs is for the offensive tackle position.  Both of them. The Bills have, essentially, three players fighting for two spots on each end of the line.  Although undrafted free agents Tyson Chandler and Darryl Johnson have seen some time rotating in with the first unit, it’s really a three-person battle between three-year starter Cordy Glenn, Seantrel Henderson, who started all sixteen games as a rookie, and Cyrus Kouandjio, who was taken in the second-round last year, but only suited up (did not start) for one regular-season game."

Jackson carries on for Bills in reserve role

"In last week’s OTA practices, it was Fred Jackson, not LeSean McCoy, working as the Buffalo Bills’ No. 1 running back. McCoy was sidelined with a sore neck.This week, McCoy was in the starting role that became his the moment the Bills acquired him in March via a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles.Jackson? He was assuming his new capacity as a reserve."

Browns, Bills announce details for joint practices they’ll hold this summer

"The Browns and Buffalo Bills announced Thursday the dates and times for the two joint practices they’ll hold this summer at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, N.Y. The first session is scheduled for 10 a.m. Aug. 17 with the second one set for 6 p.m. Aug. 18. Then the two teams will meet in Cleveland for a preseason game televised by ESPN at 8 p.m. Aug. 20 at FirstEnergy Stadium."

Dareus back at OTAs, Harvin to return next week

"Although it’s voluntary, when players the caliber of Marcell Dareus and Percy Harvin miss an Organized Team Activity after having been at almost every other voluntary session during the offseason, it’s noteworthy.  So it’s also worth noting when they return, or are scheduled to be back with the team.  The two players both missed Wednesday’s session, but according to defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman, Dareus was back on the field Thursday with his teammates.  As far as Harvin goes, wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal said the free agent acquisition was not at OTAs Thursday, but that he will return next week.  The media was unable to watch Thursday’s practice session."

A freshman receiver wearing No. 2 stood out like a sore thumb. Lal texted then Raiders receiver Jacoby Ford, a Clemson product.“You’re not the best receiver that’s come out of Clemson,” Lal told him."
