Is what the headlines should say in a week and a day, this is hopefully a clairvoyant article.Houston would add insane talent to an already insanely talented Defense. Houston’s contract would be one that would be astronomical in number.

Somewhere in the 100 million dollar plus range and will be spread probably over the course of seven or eight years. However lets talk Houston’s worth as a player, Pro Football Focus Rated him a Positive 51 overall, with him receiving a 37.6 grade in Pass Rush and 8.1 in Rush Defense. Houston had his worst game of the season against the Buffalo Bills.

Houston in plain statistics had 22 sacks, that was a half sack away from breaking Michael Strahan‘s record. Imagine what he could do in Rex Ryan’s Defense with the current Defensive starters we have Houston would most likely destroy the sack record and set one so astronomically high that it may never be broken.

Houston would be a much better addition than resigning Jerry Hughes. Houston would line up across from Mario Williams in the ROLB position with All Stars Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus (and hopefully Stephen Paea). In the middle would be Kiko Alonso and Preston Brown both had revolutionary rookie season although Alonso sat out last season with an ACL tear.

In the Secondary you will see a combination of Corey Graham, Stephon Gilmore, Leodis McKelvin, Nickell Robey, Aaron Williams, and Bacarri Rambo. That defense would be the best possibly ever, Houston contract would also allow the Bills to resign key players and Free Agents. The Buffalo Bills would be smart to use their cap this season to add the final Jewel to the crown that is their defense.

Now the Buffalo Bills would have to give up their picks in the 2016 and 2017 seasons, however this would be the same price Bill Polian paid for the final crown jewel in the greatest team in Buffalo Bills history. The player I am referring to the the two first round picks the Buffalo Bills gave up for Cornelius Bennett and look how well that turned out for those teams.

For those who are worried the Bills wouldn’t be able to improve their offense with out the picks and the cap room, they still would have almost 20 million in cap space and have a draft filled with talent at the positions of need coming up. It’s time for the Buffalo Bills Organization and Fan Base to stop looking three years down the road and instead look at building and supporting the best team today and by making this move that’s what the Buffalo Bills will be doing.
