The Bills are sitting with a record of 6-5 right now heading into week 13.  With 5 games remaining the best thing for the Bills is to begin with a win against the Cleveland Browns.  Former defensive coach, Mike Pettine, will be coming back into Buffalo after putting together a defense that set the new franchise record of 57 sacks in a season.  New Defensive Coordinator, Jim Schwartz, is on pace with his defense to break that 1 year old record.

The Browns are sitting ahead of the Bills with a 7-4 record and a win by the Bills would move them to 7-5 for both the Bills and the Browns.  The Bills would finally have a head to head matchup against an AFC team and could move them up a couple of spots in the AFC with a win and some help from some other teams.

The remaining schedule for the Bills is not going to be an easy one with Denver, Green Bay, and New England as their last 3 of 4 games.  They have the Oakland Raiders mixed in there as well, but not too tremendously worried about them.

At this point, the Bills are going to need to win against two of these three teams mentioned above to get to a 10-6 record, which I think is going to be the key record to get into a playoff spot for the Bills.  That is assuming that they win against the Browns and the Raiders.  What is the path of least resistance? Against these three teams, there really isn’t one.  I think that the Bills will have an easier time against the Broncos, because their run defense is not the greatest and their defense is lower on the totem pole.  If they can get to Manning and create pressure quickly, there might be a chance for them there.  I don’t think that Green Bay will be a win.  The only other option would be the Patriots and how great would it be to win against the Patriots and get into the playoffs? Win and your in.

I think this is what is will come down to but a win against the Browns is where it starts.
