The Buffalo Bills head into their bye week with a 5-3 record, good enough to be one game behind the New England Patriots in the AFC East.

One factor for this great first half start is the way the Bills are playing on the road.

They are 3-1 on the road this year, which passes their win total for last year while on the road.  The Bills are one of 5 teams that have 3 wins on the road, two of which the Bills beat on the road; the Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears and the Dallas Cowboys.

"“It’s more of the family atmosphere with us. On the road, we’ve all got to stay together. All the trips, you’ve got to be with your team,” receiver Mike Williams said after Sunday’s 43-23 road win over the New York Jets. “I think that got us a lot closer. On the road, we hang with each other more, we in the hotel with each other, we go out to new places and chill with each other.“I think us just being together more on the road is showing up.”– ESPN"

The Bills are not just winning on the road they are performing better there as well.  They have a plus-10 turnover differential on the road compared to a minus-3 at The Ralph and they have a scoring differential of plus-20 on the road versus a minus-7 at home.

I say, the Bills go on the road more often.  With these stats, I’ll take away games all day long for them.  As far as the rest of the season goes, the Bills will split the 8 games; 4 on the road and 4 at home.  They will finish the season on the road for the last two games; against the Oakland Raiders and against the New England Patriots.  Might help them if they are on the playoff bubble.
