Each week last year, Buffalowdown conducted a 25 team power ranking.  During those weeks, we did not see many lead changes from our point of view as to where everyone stood.  The Seahawks and Denver were a top the rankings and the Saints, 49ers, and the Packers were sitting just behind in the top five.

At the bottom, whether we are biased or not, and if we are we have a right to be. We never saw the Bills below 20th.  They hung around and stayed middle of the pack for the entire season, at least for us.  The Jaguars never made the top 25 along with the Raiders, the entire season.  Will it change this year, it could possibly, there are twice as many writers this year so you never know where everyone stands.

More from Buffalo Bills News

As for this year, looking strictly at the Bills.  The ‘Big Guys’ have the Bills in the bottom half and out of the three only one has them in the top 25.  NFL.com has the Bills the highest at 25th.

"Project Make The Playoffs For The First Time In 15 Years is off and running this offseason after Project Make The Playoffs For The First Time In 14 Years failed in 2013. The Bills have been posting photos of head coach Doug Marrone and new O-line acquisitions in the snow that are heartwarming … what’s more important at this stage is the development of EJ Manuel and how the secondary will fare minus Jairus Byrd. Yes, the club didn’t want to spend too much money on a safety. But is Mario Williams that much more impactful? The club guaranteed him $50 million two years ago. Byrd’s signing bonus in New Orleans was half that.– NFL.com"

ESPN.com had the Bills sitting at 27th after the draft.  This is what they had to say about it.

"The Bills gave up a 2015 first- and fourth-round pick for Sammy Watkins, who better be the missing piece. Extending a 14-year playoff drought could be disastrous for GM Doug Whaley.– ESPN.com"

CBSSports.com is the last of the Power Rankings and they have them the lowest at 29th.  This is there reasoning behind the lowest ranking out of everyone.

"I can already feel the Bills mafia — love you guys — coming at me for this team being down here. But I have to see big steps by EJ Manuel to move them up.– CBSSports.com"

Everyone also had the Seahawks number 1 in each power ranking.  As for the 32nd power ranking spot, the Texans were in two of the three and the Browns held the other.

Where do you fit the Bills after the draft? I think the Bills are better than the Rams and the Buccaneers.  I move them up two spots in the NFL.com power Rankings and look at them starting the season about 23rd or so.  Buffalowdown will be putting together Power Rankings again this season. Stay tuned for our first one.
