We have all dreamed of the day Buffalo moves up the draft board to claim the best guy in the draft, but we all know it’s great to trade back to stock pile picks. Anything can happen, we won’t know anything definite until draft day but these are two trades that I believe Buffalo could make.

1) Buffalo Trades with the Texans for the 1st overall pick

Buffalo sends – 2014 9th, 41st, 109th, and 2015 1st Round (Total Value 3266)

Texans send – 2014 1st (Total Value 3000)

If Buffalo would pull the trigger on this they would most likely have to overpay to move up the board so much, however, we all know that they would most likely be going after Jadeveon Clowney from South Carolina. I can’t even imagine what that line would be like with Mario, Marcell, Kyle and now Jadeveon. Yeah this would have to be declared the best defensive line in all of football, right? As much as I would love to see this happen, I don’t believe this trade would be ideal for Buffalo. Buffalo is trying gather key players and depth and trading away so many picks for the 1st overall pick doesn’t make sense for the franchise right now.

2) Buffalo trades with the Ravens

Buffalo send – 2014 9th (Total Value 1350)

Ravens sends – 2014 17th, 48th (Total Value 1370)

This trade makes sense for both teams and is fairly even. Baltimore needs a safety and there are two good safeties available in the first round. However, the Rams, who have two picks before the Ravens and the Cowboys, who are also before the Ravens, have both been linked to trying to get safety.  I believe the Ravens will be looking for a trade partner and Buffalo could be the ideal partner. As for Buffalo, if they aren’t looking at adding Evans or Matthews this allows them to gain a draft pick and still be in a place to gain a dominant player. Since they added a pick they would have two picks in the second round and could add to key starters. The more I think about it I am in favor of this move, just because Buffalo still has a lot of holes to fill. This option allows them to gain 3 players before the 3rd round and for a team like Buffalo adding talent and depth is a must.
