This Team Needs A Quarterback

After watching that monstrosity of a game by this Bills team I can only imagine what we will see next week. I thought possibly we may have had our future quarterback on this roster but no more. EJ Manuel is atrocious and I don’t think it’s going to get any better.

Playing in 9 games thus far this season I think I have already seen enough. Was there a reason again why we selected him in the 1st round? Injuries, terrible footwork, not playing to win and just an overall lack of skill to play in this league is what the fans are going to be dealing with if something isn’t changed. Coaching may be apart of this and I’m pretty sure it is but this is a quarterback driven league and the guy that’s in the spot is not the answer.

Was it necessary for this team to draft this guy last year? We have been without a quarterback for years and knowing this upcoming draft would be a better year for a shot at a franchise guy Manuel’s pick to me is now a waste. Watching draft coverage and reading around the league I really never heard much about Manuel until the draft was upon us. No other team obviously wanted a QB higher than the Bills or anytime in the 1st round for that matter. Don’t you think if a guy was that good someone would’ve made a move or selected one? This pick too is solely on the shoulders of the Bills brass. Not being able to say their guy wasn’t on the board and settling for someone else is out of the question.

His stats looking back at the 9 games I guess aren’t terrible but nothing jumps out at you. His QB rating is 75.4 and has 9 td passes but after that is all downhill. 8 interceptions, 4 fumbles, sacked 24 times and an average of 6.3 per attempt is a joke. We’ll have to see if he can do anything to help these in the last 3 games but I’m not betting on it.

I’m probably not giving this guy enough time but I don’t care. I’ve seen enough and watching this kid I don’t see it getting any better anytime soon. People will say look at the Panthers game but one drive in a game doesn’t do anything for me. Not saying he’s better but watching Thad Lewis play at least the games were exciting. Does anyone agree with me or do people really think he’ll turn it around?
