Picking for the Bills, I took Boston College LB Luke Kuechly, a move that will no doubt gall BLD’s own Ron Bullard. I’ve gone back and forth on Kuechly a lot – is he a star in the making or another good-not-great type like former Bill Paul Posluzsny? I’m (for the moment) convinced he’d be a very good fit in Buffalo. He can play all three LB spots in 4-3, he can stop the run, he can stay on the field for three downs – just a lot of versatility, which you know Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey love.

But we’ll see what goes down tonight.

If you haven’t read BLD lead writer Chris Trapasso’s draft preview piece, go read it now. It’s a great primer for tonight’s first round.
