The lack of Josh Allen respect when it comes to MVP talk, continues to amaze me. The Buffalo Bills go nowhere without him, but I know, most teams would crumble without their starting quarterback. That said, there is no better quarterback in the NFL and there are a lot of stats to back up that claim. Even with Patrick Mahomes over in Kansas City, there is no better quarterback.

The insanely impressive touchdown throw to Gabe Davis against the Chargers was an absolute dime while running no less. The pass was perfectly dropped into Gabe Davis' hands, which led to a much-needed touchdown for the Bills. But Allen has done this time and time again and yet, the national narrative remains, Josh Allen is a turnover machine. I get it but it is literally the only thing haters can hang their hat on. They continue to ignore all the incredible feats and accomplishments.

Josh Allen leads the league in turnovers this season, with 18 total turnovers but he's fourth in passing yards and third in QBR. But the most impressive stat is his total touchdowns of 40, which puts him first in the league and by a wide margin. The next closest player to him is Jalen Hurts, and he had 35 total touchdowns at the time of this writing. Allen leads is second among all quarterbacks with 13 rushing touchdowns and has 413 yards rushing After 15 games this season, he has nearly 4,200 total yards.

Not only should Josh Allen be the front-runner for the league MVP (even more so, if the Bills continue their push to the playoffs) but he's the best quarterback in the league. Mahomes is a great quarterback but even he cannot do some of the things that Allen can do. Just look at a few of the numbers over Josh Allen's six-year career, that not even Mahomes can claim.

Greatest performance in a playoff game versus the New England Patriots

In that 2021 Divisional Round showdown against the New England Patriots, Josh Allen put on a show like we've never seen before, literally. The number of quarterbacks in league history that have thrown for over 300 yards, five touchdowns, and over 60 yards rushing is exactly one.....just one quarterback has ever accomplished this feat and that of course, is Josh Allen, while also completing over 80% of his passes.

Speaking of the completion rate, Allen is one of only four quarterbacks to have thrown more touchdown passes than incompletions. That list consists of Daryl Lamonica, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady. That's some serious company to keep. Since the inception of the QBR stat, Allen recorded the highest rating in a playoff game at 98.5, breaking a Tom Brady record he held for 14 years.

Josh Allen knows how to get into the end zone on the ground

In Allen's first four years in the league, he scored 31 rushing touchdowns, scoring at least six times every season. That set a new NFL record, becoming the first quarterback in league history to score at least six touchdowns in four consecutive seasons. Oh, by the way, he extended that streak in year five when he scored seven on the ground. Did i mention that Allen has extended that streak yet again, now to six straight seasons with his 13 rushing scores this year?

Allen's two rushing touchdowns against the Los Angeles Chargers put him at 51 career scores. Only one other quarterback in NFL history has scored more than 50, that is Cam Newton, who has 75. Allen needs 25 more rushing scores to surpass him for the most all-time. In case you are interested, in who might be chasing Allen, Jalen Hurts currently has 41 rushing scores.

Josh Allen is putting up record numbers this season

The Buffalo Bills have played 15 games this season; in 11 of those, Allen has at least one passing and one rushing touchdown. He set the record already when he recorded his tenth such game against the Dallas Cowboys a couple of weeks ago. He added to that this past weekend and likely will add to that number as we advance with two games remaining in the regular season.

Allen now has 36 games accomplishing this feat, trailing only Cam Newton, who had 45 games scoring a rushing and passing touchdown. For the record, the closest active player is Aaron Rodgers, with 31. Russell Wilson is the next closest active player at 23. I don't see either one of the players catching Allen, but Jalen Hurts could make a run at him when it's all said and done.

Allen also has 22 consecutive games with a passing touchdown. The record is 54, held by Drew Brees and if Allen throws another passing touchdown this weekend, he'll be tied 26th for the longest streak. A group that includes Kurth Warner, Steve McNair and Phillip Rivers.

Josh Allen is the first and only

Speaking of Allen's performance against the Chargers, with his three total touchdowns, it moved him up to 40 total scores on the season, becoming the only player in NFL history to find the end zone 40-plus times in four consecutive seasons. When you think about that number and the quarterbacks over the years, that accomplishment is mind-boggling. With quarterbacks like Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Brett Favre, and Tom Brady, it's crazy to think no one has done this, except Allen. The record for the most seasons with 40-plus touchdowns in a career is six, held by Aaron Rodgers. Allen is tied with Tom Brady for second in this category with four such seasons.

With such a feat, it makes sense that Allen also holds the record for the most career touchdowns in his first six seasons, passing both Patrick Mahomes and Dan Marino this season. And Allen continues to add to his career touchdown total this year, with two more games left in the regular season. He currently sits at 216 career touchdowns.

Just another Josh Allen first

You can call Allen a turnover machine if you want and I certainly understand that but he's also a scoring machine. As far as I'm concerned, I can live with that if Allen keeps putting up the scores he does consistently. Allen became the first player in NFL history to score 100 passing touchdowns and 30 rushing touchdowns in the first four years of his career.

Unfortunately, despite all the amazing numbers that Allen has already put up over his young six-year career, Allen simply doesn't get the recognition from other fan bases or the national media. I have no clue why this is but maybe the narrative begins to change when he wins a Super Bowl for the Buffalo Bills, which could very well be this season.

Speaking of all-time greats, did Bills Mafia vote Josh Allen the greatest Bills quarterback?
