Breaking down the all-time Buffalo Bills punter as voted by Bills Mafia

Brian Moorman (2001 – 2012)

Brian Moorman went undrafted, as most punters do, but he signed with the Buffalo Bills as a rookie in 2001.  He spent the next 12 seasons with the Bills until 2012.  He started on the Bills roster in 2012, however, he was released by the team that year after just three games into the season.

Moorman then signed with the Dallas Cowboys for the remainder of the season.  Following the 2012 season, he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers but was released before the start of the 2013 season.  The Bills brought him back in 2013, which was his final season in the NFL.

Moorman was a two-time first-team All-Pro and two-time Pro Bowler, both accomplished in 2005 and 2006.  He is also the only punter in Bills' history to be named an All-Pro. His longest career punt traveled an incredible 84 yards in 2002.  He also had an 80-yard punt in 2004 and a 75-yarder in 2007.

Paul Maguire (1964 – 1970) - Honorable Mention

Paul Maguire was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the 1960 AFL Draft, becoming one of the first players in the inaugural season of the AFL.  He later joined the Buffalo Bills in 1964, becoming the second true punter in Bills’ history.

Maguire is third on the Bills’ all-time list for total punts (552) and punting yards (23,249).  He was a two-time Pro Bowl player as well, once with the Chargers in 1962 and a second with the Bills in 1965.  He’s only one of two punters in Buffalo’s history to earn a Pro Bowl nod, the other being Brain Moorman.
