Aaron Rodgers' response to potential Jets QB change is gold for Bills fans
Break out the sad-sounding trombones for New York Jets fans. The Jets, who some of the talking heads pegged as Super Bowl contenders before the season began, dropped to 3-9 after losing to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13. Aaron Rodgers, who was a big reason why people thought the Jets would be a Super Bowl contender, played terribly the day before his 41st birthday.
Well, it gets funnier and Buffalo Bills fans are going to love hearing this. Following the Jets' ninth loss of the season (lol), Rodgers was asked if he thinks the Jets will make a change at the quarterback position and his response is worth a look for Bills fans who are always relying on the Jets for comedy.
Rodgers responded to the possibility of a quarterback change with "Yeah, I don't know. We'll figure that out when we have those conversations." That sure sounds like a guy who knows he isn't good enough to be a starting quarterback in the NFL anymore.
Bills fans can continue to laugh at Aaron Rodgers' trainwreck season with Jets
Maybe this wouldn't all be as funny as it is if the Bills hadn't been cast aside in the offseason in favor of the suddenly surging Jets. Never mind that the Jets hadn't been relevant over the past decade but suddenly Rodgers, who was 40 years old coming off Achilles surgery, was going to be the quarterback to get them back to the promised land for the first time since Joe Namath did it in Super Bowl III.
Meanwhile, the Bills were forgotten about and many thought they weren't going to be as good because they lost some key players. That hasn't aged well, has it? The Bills have nine wins before Week 13's match-up and are fighting for the number one seed in the AFC.
The Jets, on the other hand, have just three wins and look as helpless as ever. It's looking more and more likely that Rodgers won't be with the Jets in 2025 and that will involve the Jets once again hitting the reset button. Don't worry though, they're just a quarterback away! (sarcasm)
