Khalil Shakir

Another player who likely is impacted heavily by the Buffalo Bills draft picks is wide receiver Khalil Shakir. He was the team’s fifth round pick last year and had some good performances towards the end of the season, including in the playoffs.

After the moves made to this point in the offseason, Shakir looked like he had a good chance to be the starting slot receiver for the Bills after they released Isaiah McKenzie and didn’t bring back Jamison Crowder. However, the selection of Dalton Kincaid probably will cut into his snaps significantly moving forward and his path to playing time isn’t very clear.

The Buffalo Bills are in a great position with the number of playmakers this offense has but for a player like Shakir who looked to be in line for a larger role this coming season, it couldn’t be welcomed news.
