How early do the Buffalo Bills draft a linebacker?

The one position that the Buffalo Bills don’t seem to have a clear answer at starter is middle linebacker with the departure of Tremaine Edmunds. The front office has done a good job to this point to give themselves options by re-signing A.J. Klein and Tyrel Dodson along with draft picks from last year’s NFL Draft in Terrel Bernard in the third round and Baylon Spector in the seventh.

Even with the competition already having four potential candidates, the Bills’ front office should consider drafting a linebacker. They also may need to draft one earlier than later because after players like Jack Campbell and Drew Sanders there are not many who look ready to start right away as a rookie.

The likely spot the Bills look at the position will be on Day 2 and either in the second or third round. However, they have added enough this offseason that they don’t need to force a pick and take a linebacker they may not be completely sold on.
