Free agent replacements for Buffalo Bills S Jordan Poyer: Julian Love

Lastly, the Bills could go the youthful route by pursuing New York Giants safety Julian Love. The 24-year-old is coming off his rookie deal after being a fourth-round pick back in the 2019 draft out of Notre Dame. Per Spotrac, Love’s estimated annual value sits just under $8 million.

The former Irish standout is one of the very few free agent safety options who will still be under 30 years old when the 2023 season begins, which could be attractive for a Bills team potentially searching for a long-term replacement.

Of course, this Bills team is also pretty much ready to win a Super Bowl, so it depends on how they want to tackle this potential opening in the secondary.

After three years as mostly a reserve, Love started 16 games in 2022 and broke out in a big way. He finished with a whopping 124 total tackles, nearly doubling his previous career-high of 66 set the previous year. Love also tallied six tackles for loss, five passes defensed and two interceptions last season.
