The best free agent wide receiver available this season may be a player who didn’t even take a snap last year. Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a torn ACL during Super Bowl LVI and waited to discuss signing with a team until he was close to returning toward the end of the regular season.

Beckham would visit with a number of teams, including the Buffalo Bills, but would elect to not sign anywhere and wait.

The former first round pick has had an up-and-down career in the NFL and at times has looked like the next great wide receiver, from early in his career with the New York Giants, to struggling to make an impact during his years with the Cleveland Browns.

However, his stretch with the Los Angeles Rams in the 2021 season showed he can still make an impact in the right environment and offense. If the Buffalo Bills were to sign him, they would have to believe that Josh Allen and Ken Dorsey could do that.

In addition, it was recently reported that the Bills were naming Adam Henry their new wide receiver coach. He is very connected to Odell Beckham Jr. and could be just what the team needs to sign the former Pro Bowl wide receiver.
