The Bills have to dominate on the ground in order to beat Cincinnati

The last time the Bengals lost a game? It was Halloween of last year when Cincinnati was hammered by their divisional rival, the Cleveland Browns. Since then, it’s been nothing but W’s for the Bengals.

In that game against the Browns, though, Cleveland showed us the recipe to beat the Bengals. First and foremost, and to the previous point, Cleveland sacked Burrow five times in that game.

But, secondly and more importantly, the Browns ran the football down Cincinnati’s throat. Cleveland ran the ball 44 times for 172 yards that day, scoring three of their touchdowns on the ground as well.

Last week against Miami, the Bills ran just 26 times for 107 yards. Fortunately, Devin Singletary was able to put the game away with a late first-down run. But, if they’re going to control this game against Cincinnati, they need to dominate the ground game. That not only wears down the Bengals defense, but it’ll help keep Burrow on the sideline for extended periods of time.
